Mentorship/Discipleship – Building Strong Foundations

Why We Do It

Many of the girls we serve have experienced deep trauma loss of parents, abandonment, abuse, and chronic instability. These wounds can’t be healed by education alone. While schooling opens doors to opportunity, true transformation reaches deeper into the heart, mind, and soul.

At Tulip, we believe in holistic development. That means nurturing not just academic potential, but also spiritual and emotional well-being. We believe every girl is created by God with inherent value, purpose, and strength. But unless she knows and believes this for herself, she may never live it out.

Discipleship offers girls the space to heal, grow, and discover who they are in God’s eyes. It provides the strong spiritual foundation they need to face life with resilience, hope, and confidence.

What We Do
Our discipleship program is intentionally relational and personal. We walk alongside each girl through mentorship, community, and faith-building experiences.

1. One-on-One Mentorship

Each girl is paired with a dedicated female mentor who meets with her regularly for spiritual support. Together, they pray, read the Bible, and talk about life, identity, choices, forgiveness, and purpose. These mentors become safe, trusted figures who offer consistency and encouragement.

2. Group Discipleship Sessions

Girls also participate in regular group gatherings focused on spiritual growth. These include Bible teachings, testimonies, worship, discussions, and creative activities that help build faith and community.

3. Church and Community Engagement

We encourage each girl to be active in her local church joining youth groups, worship teams, or serving in various ministries. This not only strengthens their faith, but also helps them find a sense of belonging and purpose beyond themselves.

 The Impact

Discipleship shapes the inner life of a girl in ways that last a lifetime.

Healing and Identity
Girls begin to see themselves not as victims of their circumstances, but as beloved daughters of God. This deep inner healing transforms how they think, speak, and dream.

Confidence and Leadership
With a secure identity, girls become bold leaders. They speak up, serve others, and lead by example in their schools, churches, and communities.

Resilience and Character
A strong spiritual foundation helps girls make wise decisions, resist peer pressure, and remain grounded through life’s storms.

A Story of Change: Meet Cecilia
Cecilia once struggled with rejection and anger. Through mentorship and spiritual guidance, she found healing, learned to forgive, and discovered her calling. Today, she leads worship at her church and mentors others, walking in freedom and purpose.

At Tulip, we know that when a girl finds her identity in Christ, everything changes. Discipleship doesn’t just shape her faith, it strengthens her future.
